York PD: 19-Year-Old Wanted For Killing Teen Basketballer Turned Himself In

One day after a warrant was issued for his arrest, Dominick Flores, 19, turned himself into police.

He was wanted for the homicide of I’mage Greer who was shot dead in the 200 block of Green Street on Wednesday, July 28, around 12:40 a.m. as Daily Voice reported at the time.

During the homicide investigation police learned that Flores orchestrated a robbery of marijuana, according to police.

During the robbery attempt, gunfire was exchanged resulting in Greer's death.

Greer was aspiring to go to college and major in engineering, according to his personal statement on his Next College Student Athlete profile.

He wanted to "become a better version of myself doing what I know may benefit me throughout my future life. I plan on leaving a positive impact for everyone on and off the court. Being a great leader and role model for anyone that may need a figure in their life to make a change."

He is survived by his parents TaQuette Speaks and Shamar Greer; siblings Ni'Jir and Azmar Greer; grandmother Tracey Speaks; grandparents Anthony and Mary Greer and a large extended family.

Flores has been charged with the following:

  • F1 Criminal Homicide
  • F2 Criminal Attempt - Robbery-Inflict Threat Immediate Bodily Injury

He is being held in the York County Prison as bail has been denied per state law for homicides.

His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Aug. 20 at 8:55 a.m.

Flores has charges on a previous incident for possession of marijuana and his next court date on that case has been scheduled for Oct. 26 at 11:30 a.m.
